I am a Research Fellow in brain imaging and tractography methods at the Institute of Child Health at University College London, where I'm working with Chris Clark. In 2007 I completed my PhD in Neuroinformatics at the University of Edinburgh. (My thesis is available on this site.)

My research interests include the development of methods to help improve scientific understanding of connectivity and function in the healthy and unhealthy human brain. One important tool that is available to explore connectivity is diffusion magnetic resonance imaging based fibre tracking, which can elucidate the patterns of “wiring” in the living brain. It is assumed that if these pathways are interrupted, the brain will become internally disconnected, with negative consequences for cognition.

Curriculum Vitae/Résumé

Software

I am the author and maintainer of the TractoR diffusion MRI analysis project, which consists of a set of tools for performing tractography and white matter segmentation using methods described in some of the publications listed below. TractoR is free software, available under the GPL licence (version 2).

Publications

My PhD thesis has a page of its own.
